Pretty upset that I posted about bugs recently, and then the NEXT DAY Joel finds this incredible specimen in the backyard:

He was first attracted to its luminous goldness. I liked that it looked like it was nestled inside a raindrop. Oh, and THAT IT HAS A HUMAN FACE ON THE BACK OF ITS HEAD:

Wow, that is very cool indeed.
You know, my first ever job was at “SouthBank Butterfly and Insect House” – a very sad little tourist attraction in Brisbane (now defunct). I had to feed the bugs on the weekends. If we saw any cool bugs when we were out and about, I think it was staff policy that we had to capture them and bring them in to work. I’m glad I didn’t have that job in Hong Kong!

I need to know what that is! I found a bug just like that the other day in my back yard, and I’m in Indiana, USA. After showing it to my husband he said he had never seen anything like that either.
